Accenture’s study of European Chemical Industry showed that domestic chemical sales in 2010 ammounted to USD 317 billion. This study evaluated current success factors and estimated future potential of these markets.

Study results show that European chemical industry will be a large, high-value market worth 470 billion in 2030. Its huge potential for growth lies in the history of being the leader in innovation, and by the need for more sophisticated products with higher profit margins.

Another study from the same company implies that USD 7.6 trillion will be invested in industrial projects in the next five years throughout the world. Europe is projected to account for about 11 percent of new projects.
